Privacy Policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
This policy explains what personal data New Product Spy (“we”, “us”) collects when you use newproductspy.com (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, reach us through our contact form.
1. Data we collect
- Account data. Your email address, the name you choose to give us, and your password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash; we cannot read them.
- Search activity. The niches you search while logged in, when you searched them, and which searches you have unlocked.
- Payment data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive a customer reference, what you bought, the amount, and your subscription status. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Technical data. Your IP address and basic request information, used to keep the Service secure and to limit abuse.
2. How we use your data
- To create and secure your account and keep you logged in.
- To run your searches and show your search history and unlocked results.
- To take payments, manage plans and send receipts and purchase confirmations.
- To send service emails, such as email confirmation, password resets and security notices.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to keep the Service reliable.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Legal bases
Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), to meet our legal obligations (for example tax and accounting records), and for our legitimate interests in securing and improving the Service.
4. Cookies
We use one essential cookie that keeps you logged in. It is not used for tracking or advertising. Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout and billing pages.
5. Who we share data with
We share data only with providers that help us run the Service:
- Stripe, for payments, subscriptions and billing management.
- Twilio SendGrid, for delivering account and purchase emails.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who store the Service’s data on our behalf.
The niche keywords you search are sent to our data collection provider to retrieve public product listings. They are not sent together with your identity. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
6. Product data
The product listings shown in search results are publicly available information from third-party marketplaces. They are not personal data about you.
7. How long we keep data
We keep your account data and search history for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, search history, unlocked results and sessions. We may keep payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
8. Your rights and choices
- You can update your name, change your password and delete your account at any time from your settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, use our contact form.
- You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections, hashed passwords and hashed session tokens, and we limit access to those who need it. No online service can be perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
10. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, those transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
11. Children
The Service is for businesses and adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
12. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you by email.
13. Contact
